Washington State University Hiring for WSU School of Food Science Assistant/Associate Professor of Dairy Science at Pullman, Washington State Full Time

The School of Food Science (SFS) at Washington State University (WSU) seeks a faculty member to address the needs of industry, stakeholders, and communities across the state and nationally providing solutions through relevant and engaging teaching, technical support and outreach programs. Conduct applied research to support the needs of the dairy industry in the state and region. This is a 9-month research and teaching appointment (70% research; 30% teaching) tenure track full-time. Responsibilities will include: Develop a research program in dairy science and conduct nationally and internationally recognized research in dairy chemistry, processing/engineering, or microbiology, working with internal collaborators in the School of Food Science as well as academic and industry partners outside the university. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in dairy or fermentation science, food analysis, food chemistry and/or other subjects within their field of experience.  Recruit, mentor, and advise undergraduate and graduate students. Participate in service activities (i.e., outreach, recruiting and other) of the department, college and university.
