Minimum Experience/Education:
Graduate student in the social sciences (e.g. urban planning, sociology, social work, public
health, education, geography, public policy, or other social science field)
Track record of effectively working independently with minimal direct supervision
Strong organizational as well as oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education::
Experience with conducting social science research projects, data collection and management,
statistical and qualitative analysis, and reporting
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage with an advisory group, which will include stakeholders and community members in the
Historic West End, throughout the project and provide progress updates and obtain community
feedback.
Assist with survey administration and conduct interviews and focus groups
Inventory and map the information ecosystem in the Historic West End based on the
information shared by community members.
Organize and analyze findings from the data collection efforts
Assist with preparing a final report and related documents, such as slide presentations and
summaries of key findings and recommendations.
