The next School of Nursing’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Dean reports to the Executive Dean and Associate Vice President and is
a crucial member of the College of Health Sciences Executive Leadership Team representing three schools: the School of Nursing, The School
of Health and Clinical Professions, and the School of Kinesiology. The College of Health Science has financially benefitted from the 87th
and 88th legislative sessions in Texas, allowing for new program development and strengthening of existing programs, and is fully committed
to addressing health disparities and meeting the health needs of populations situated in rural Texas.
The School of Nursing offers a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Traditional, LVN-BSN, RN-BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (Education and Administration) with a
projected CRNA (DNP) program starting in 2026. The ideal candidate can creatively address the changing landscape in higher education and
academic nursing.
This full-time administrative faculty position is based at the Stephenville, Texas, campus with outreach
instructional sites in Fort Worth and Waco, serving over 400 students across traditional BSN, LVN-BSN, RN-BSN, and MSN programs.

Recent additions to the main Stephenville location include new facilities such as the Engineering
building, the stadium and athletic-facilities renovations, and the Child Development Center, along with the upcoming Convocation and Event
Center. Tarleton’s research centers include the renowned Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research, the Timberlake Biological
Field Station, and the Southwest Regional Dairy Center.

Tarleton’s primary location is in
Stephenville, Texas, which consistently ranks as one of the best small towns in America. With a population of over 20,000, Stephenville is
located in Erath County and has become one of the best places to live in Texas. Stephenville’s cost of living is 19.7% lower than the U.S
including a lower-than-average sales tax and no income tax. The area also has lower-than-average unemployment and crime rates.
Stephenville was first patented by John M. Stephen on February 24, 1853. After almost 170 years, this city has transformed into one of
the fastest growing “college towns” in the State of Texas and has so much to offer its residents whether they be college students, senior
citizens, or families. Tarleton State University is located in the Heart of Stephenville and has several outreach programs that give the
community a special, close-knit feeling.
Uniquely located in rural Texas, one-hour southwest of Dallas/Fort Worth for easy access to
