Under the general
direction of the Director of Admissions, Enrollment, and Outreach, the Program Specialist 3 – Welcome Desk supports enrollment and retention
through collaboratively improving and organizing the intake of new, stop-out, and returning students, oversight of the Welcome Desks,
college switchboard, response to inquiries by students and community members, and assists with planning and implementation of
organization-wide student communications. This position will facilitate the student intake process, developing & implementing procedures
that ensure new students complete Orientation and meet with their advisor before first quarter enrollment.
The Program Specialist 3
will use expertise in admissions, registration, and financial aid to serve new and currently enrolled students and provide support for
Enrollment Services and Financial Aid during peak times. This position is responsible for independently planning and completing tasks for
administering programs to meet office guidelines, federal requirements, and other college deadlines.
This position will provide
supervision and direction to other employees as designated. Work is performed within the framework of Federal and State financial aid
regulations, Institutional policies and procedures, and direction of the supervisor.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The College is currently
providing services in a mixed modality of operations (both online and in-person services are offered). This position will perform work in a
standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus, using the ability to
communicate both in person or through appropriate means. Ability to read printed materials and a computer screen. Please note, there may be
opportunities for online work depending on program or area needs. If authorized for online work, employees will need to provide their own
workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. Ability to work
weekends and nights as needed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:
This position is allocated to pay range 53, under
the Washington State Office of Financial Management higher education salary schedule. Salary placement for new employees is determined by
the College. This position works 40 hours per week, with schedule dependent upon department needs. Hiring of this position is contingent on
available funding as determined by the College President.
