Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional compensation experience.
Substitution of experience for education: Experience in Human Resources can substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
Necessary Special Qualifications: None.
Examination Method: Education and Experience, 100%, for Preferred Service positions.
Summary
A Senior Compensation Consultant is employed by the Department of Human Resources (DOHR) within the Compensation Division and are assigned a variety of complex professional duties carried out under the general supervision of the departmental leader. This role is the senior level classification in the Compensation Consultant series and serves as a subject matter expert and oversees compensation projects. This class differs from that of Compensation Team Lead (Supervisor) in that an incumbent of the latter functions at the supervisory level. This class differs from that of a Compensation Consultant in that an incumbent of the latter performs at the working level.
