Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, some evenings and weekends. Full time, 11 month position, August-June.
General Description:
The Case Manager and Crisis Counselor is an integral contributor to PLU’s Counseling, Health, and Wellness Services team and PLU’s ecological approach to ensuring equitable access to mental health care and addressing its related impact on students’ overall well-being.
Under the supervision of the Director for Counseling Services, the person in this role specifically contributes to the priority of providing coordinated, culturally responsive, appropriate, and timely care and continuity of services for PLU students. Responsibilities of this role include initial contact with new clients and participation in case assignments; crisis assessment, response, and management; and facilitation of student referrals to campus and community resources. The Case Manager also provides some direct services to PLU students, including offering initial intake or walk-in appointments, brief individual counseling for a small purposeful caseload, and a limited number of group workshops. The Case Manager also may provide training and/or supervision to master’s level or predoctoral interns.
