Montgomery College, Germantown Campus, invites applications for a full-time Biology/Biotechnology faculty member to fill a position starting August 2024. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to student success, working in a multicultural environment, dedication to the community college mission, and highly effective oral and written communication skills. Duties include teaching lecture and laboratory sections of first- and second-year biology and biotechnology courses. Additional faculty responsibilities include curriculum development and assessment, student advising, supervising undergraduate research and honors projects, utilizing the latest instructional technology and laboratory equipment, committee work, and service to the department, campus, and college. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
The Chemical and Biological Sciences Department offers Associate’s degrees in Biological Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, and Chemistry and Biochemistry, as well as Certificates in Biotechnology, Biomanufacturing, and Cell and Gene Therapy Technology. Teaching assignments may include various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, and blended formats during days, evenings, and weekends. Montgomery College has three campuses and instructs courses at area high schools. Faculty may be assigned to any campus or teaching online or HyFlex.

Salary Range: $62,319 – $93,020, annually.
