Despite colonization, occupation, and genocide, the Nisenan, Maidu, and Miwok people continue and thrive in their resilience and self-determination. FLC celebrates and recognizes our Nisenan, Maidu, and Miwok tribal neighbors and honors their sustained existence. With an enrollment of over 10,000 students, FLC is an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI), an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), and serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students.
