Training and Development Specialist Health Center Associate (HCA) – Iowa
Starting salary for candidate who meets minimum requirements (Experience will be compensated): $22+
An additional $1/hr or $3/hr differential provided based on services provided. $2/hr Bilingual differential provided when shift requirements are met.
Typical Schedule: 32 hours/week

What to expect:
Under the supervision of the Training and Development Manager, the Training and Development Specialist advances quality reproductive and sexual health care and exceptional patient experience by developing and delivering effective trainings and resources for new and established health center staff at PPNCS. Core roles and responsibilities include onboarding health center staff, participating in collaborative partnerships, education, and competency management. This position specializes in training and onboarding all front desk and non-certified/non-licensed back-office staff (HCA Is, HCA IIs, and MAs) as assigned at Planned Parenthood. Training and Development Specialists are advocates in implementing our mission “To affirm the right to reproductive and sexual health and freedom for all by providing excellent care, trusted education, and fierce advocacy”. They may perform other related duties as assigned.
Schedule: 32 hours per week, 4 shifts per week. Schedules vary along training cycles. Onsite training days generally 9:00am – 4:30pm and trainer will match health center hours for clinic training days. For administrative work, more flexible start/end times, but generally starting between 8:00am – 10:00am and ending between 4:00pm – 6:00pm. This position is preferably based out of Iowa City, but candidate’s location will be considered. This role includes travel to locations throughout Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota. Travel more frequently in Iowa and Nebraska. Travel frequency up to 50% of the time.
