Direct Hire position is primarily responsible for the attraction, retention and motivation of talented candidates at our divisional site. Acts as primary Talent Management resource to all CA sites.
Must be able to travel to Modesto CA. Primary work location Victorville CA.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Field HR related questions from all CA sites – this includes routine travel to the Modesto facility (at least bi-monthly)
2. Facilitate the administration of benefits
3. Participate in all aspects of recruiting and enter New Hires into SAP and Kronos as needed
4. Conduct candidate interviews and exit interviews
5. Administer Leaves of Absences (STD, LTD, FMLA)
6. Audit the Paid Time Off process ensuring that all Associates requesting time off have the time available and is entered correctly into Workday and Kronos.
7. Facilitate the administration of payroll, checking punches, paid time off, LOAs, overtime/double time etc. in Kronos and SAP
8. Collaborate with Reg. HR Leader for organizational development initiatives to boost Associate morale and performance
9. Continuously monitor all HR procedures seeking improvement/refinement
10. Interact with all Associates by being actively involved with them on the production floor to foster positive relations between Associates and the company
11. Monitor and/or grant building access for all current and terminated Associates
12. Facilitate punitive action/termination meetings as needed
13. Conduct New Hire Orientations and Training as needed
14. Continuously develop Applicant Tracking System and SAP Modules
15. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline and a minimum of two years HR experience, MBA/Master’s Degree in HR and/or PHR Certification preferred.
Position additionally requires excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze work rules and polices, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, strong work ethic, ability to learn quickly and ability to communicate with all Associates. Incumbent should also demonstrate a strong desire to develop and grow into progressively responsible positions within the Company.
Must be hands-on and engage with Associates on the Manufacturing floor. Must be able to work at least one Saturday per month (8am to 12pm) and travel to our national sites as needed.
Office environment includes extended periods of sitting and computer desk work.
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the use of: hairnets, beard nets, ear plugs and safety-glasses. Certain areas may have additional Personal Protective Equipment requirements including: gloves, goggles, face shields and aprons
