The Human Resource Generalist manages and sustains the HR services, policies, and programs at Grovtec. Responsibilities include managing the recruiting process and interviewing, onboarding new employees, assist employees with company benefit programs, monitors employee relations, ensure practices are compliant with regulations, and coordinates the administering of all HR services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Collaborate with leadership and the HR team to create positive employee engagement and maintain a people-focused company culture.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements related to HR and Payroll, such as EEO, FLSA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.
3. Monitor employee morale, look for opportunities and bring creative solutions to ensure team synergy and engagement.
4. Identify qualified candidates through a number of creative outlets (i.e. job boards, networking groups, social media, etc.)
5. Assess candidates through phone screening, interviewing, skills testing, and reference checks.
6. Maintain and develop relationships with potential qualified candidates via phone and email communications.
7. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
8. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
9. Manages employee profiles using human resource software.
10. Performs other duties as required.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:
1. Collaborates – Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
2. Communicates effectively – Develop and deliver a variety of communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
3. Experience using HRM software including Paylocity.
4. Proficient using Microsoft Office suit.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
2. 3 years related work experience in a human resources role.
3. Experience recruiting within the manufacturing sector.
4. SHRM, PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
