Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Field Recruiting will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of field recruiting across Potbelly’s company-owned operations. The role may also serve as a consultant to Potbelly’s franchisee base. This role requires a strategic mindset, a strong understanding of the talent landscape in the hospitality and restaurant industry, and the ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet the organization’s growing needs. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-driven professional with excellent leadership, communication, and talent sourcing and assessment skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive field recruitment strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent to drive business success.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Field Recruiters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet their individual and team recruitment targets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Field Operations Leadership, and HR Business Partners to understand their staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies that align with their goals.
- Candidate Sourcing: Develop and maintain recruiting marketing campaigns that leverage Potbelly’s employee value proposition to attract a strong pipeline of talent for all field roles.
- Candidate Selection: Oversee the candidate selection process, ensuring that tools and resources equip hiring teams to select the best candidates in a compliant manner.
- Employer Branding: Enhance the company’s employer brand by developing and maintaining a clear Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to attract top talent and maintain a positive reputation in the talent market.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruiting efforts, identify areas for improvement, and provide insights for better decision-making. Develop core KPIs for TA for Potbelly that can serve as benchmarks to assess performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruiting practices comply with relevant employment laws and regulations, including OFCCP requirements.
- Innovation: Stay updated on the latest recruiting trends, technologies, and best practices and implement innovative solutions to optimize the recruitment process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in field recruiting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to create and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition metrics and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations. Experience in OFCCP compliance is a strong plus.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and other HR software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
