Florida Center for Prevention in Research
Responsibilities
This position will implement many of the programs for the Wakulla Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant. Their duties will include:
Attend community coalition meetings and sponsored events.
Manage coalition communication.
Coordinate coalition members’ participation in community events, as well as other coalition-sponsored events.
Implement Social Norms Marketing campaigns in selected schools.
Facilitate Too Good for Drugs curriculum in selected schools; and
Assist with parent education events.
Assist the FCPR Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator in meeting the grant requirements of the Wakulla DFC program and completing on-time reports for actions and events performed. This will include participating in DFC webinars and compiling and submitting all reports (financial and deliverables) to the Project Coordinator for approval.
Assist with the implementation and evaluation of other prevention services and activities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science, Psychology, Education, or other related Social Science.
Experience working with adolescents in educational, community, or prevention settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in prevention-related experience.
