Duties and Responsibilities:

M365 Security Center and Compliance Center mission control:

• Monitor for and investigate system alerts; note corrective action and clear all alerts weekly.
• Search and purge delivered messages deemed malicious.
• Manage anti-spam and anti-phishing policies.
• Work with MDM coordinator to refine app policies.

Identity management:

• Management of account creation and deletion
• Continuous management and audit of Office 365 security group memberships
• Role based access creation, management and audit.
• Continuous monitoring of established PII protection policy adherence
• Monitor systems integrations among other university systems.

SSO and multi-factor authentication (MFA):

• Investigate and implement SSO apps; troubleshoot and resolve app problems.
• Manage MFA blocking for compromised accounts.
• Provide MFA support, continuously audit MFA status.

System and e-discovery:

• Familiarity with basic PowerShell and command prompt functions, including basic commands and switches.
• Understanding of Windows directory structure and basic searching techniques
• Familiarity with both on-prem and Azure file server access management
• Knowledge of Exchange Admin Center

Training:

• Develop and publish knowledgebase articles on security best practices for end users.
• Audit, test, and present in-depth training and coaching for high risk / targeted users.
• Work with creative services office to promote cyber security tips to the community through posters, videos and SharePoint news post.

Requirements:

• Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years’ experience with Microsoft 365 Admin and Active Directory (hybrid environment experience preferred)
• Basic experience with PowerShell and Python (basic coding experience helpful, but not required)
• High attention to detail, organization, and ability to work with confidential information.
• Commitment to constant improvement and organizational success
• Some work history in a constituent facing / customer service environment.

Tasks fulfillment:

• Complete weekly reports / complete devops tasks (ticketing system) as assigned.
• Maintain flexibility and independence to problem solve.
• Familiarly with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office apps
• Ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with a dynamic hybrid team.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.
