Job Description:

The
Office of Service Initiatives equips and empowers York College student volunteers to support, engage, and partner with communities and
organizations across York County. The Service Initiatives Scholar in Residence (SISIR) plays a key role in this mission.  

Under the
supervision of the Director of Service Initiatives, the SISIR will:

• provide leadership and administrative support for
  Generations of Hope, a mentorship program that connects York College student leaders with local middle-school students.
• contribute
  to assessment, research, presentation, and publication efforts related to key service initiatives.
• assist with grant
  development.
• provide support for short-term and ongoing service initiatives.
• coordinate mentorship, recognition, and
  incentive initiatives for student volunteers. 
• coordinate professional development & community-building event series for student
  volunteers.
• coordinate new volunteer recruitment efforts.
• provide administrative support for volunteer management
  platforms.
• organize, track, and manage required program documents and records for student volunteers.
• engage with network of
  YCP colleagues who advise service-based student programs.
• manage digital content and branded materials related to CCE service
  initiatives.
• complete additional responsibilities as needed or assigned.

The SISIR position is a 24 month,
non-renewable term that begins on or around July 1, 2022, and concludes on or around June 28, 2024.

The compensation included for
this position consist of:  

• Full tuition remission for all courses required to complete graduate program at YCP
• Monthly
  Stipend
• College-provided apartment (unfurnished) or monthly rent assistance stipend

Requirements:

The
candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, and must be accepted into one of the YCP graduate programs listed below. Throughout their
graduate program, the SISIR must maintain full-time academic status and good academic standing.
