Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of the Center for Career Development and Internships, the Career Coach assists students with all phases of the career development process.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree, preferably in Counseling, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development/Communication or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in student counseling, career coaching, career services, higher education or placement services. Training, certification and experience in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and/or Strong Interest Inventory.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Summary:
Working knowledge of career assessments and counseling or coaching techniques. Exceptional verbal and written communication and program management skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships that build employer and faculty rapport. Ability to use community knowledge and research and networking skills to grow experiential opportunities. Demonstrated ability to teach, train/facilitate and deliver engaging presentations. Ability to use technology, including social media, to increase efficiencies. Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, and Handshake or similar career services management system. Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
License/Certification:
