Unit Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of
Internal Audit is to provide independent and objective assurance and consulting services guided by a philosophy of adding value to the
operations of The William & Mary and Richard Bland College.
The Office of Internal Audit reports directly to the Committee on Audit,
Risk, and Compliance of the Board of Visitors.
The Office of Internal Audit at W&M is
seeking a Senior Internal Auditor. General audit responsibilities include planning a variety of financial, operational,
compliance, and investigative audits of university operations and systems. Auditors will identify business issues and develop
recommendations for University management; identify and recommend changes in policy and control procedures, and educate management on ways
to respond to risk. Senior Internal Auditors lead and execute moderate-to-complex level audits.
A a trusted advisor and partner, the
Senior Internal Auditor cultivates relationships and works with management while providing independent audit and advisory services. Auditors
will demonstrate excellent teamwork, collaboration and a growth mindset with a high level of ethics.
Reporting to the Director of
Internal Audit/University Auditor, this position will be eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule.
Advertised Pay Range
$70,000 to $85,000

Hybrid (works remotely at least 1 day per week but not full-time)
Remote work eligibility is not guaranteed and is subject to approval. Employee eligibility depends on the
