Job Summary:
This position provides direct support to the Division Chief of the Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology, who is also the Associate Dean for Gerontology in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). Additionally, this position provides advanced support for outreach and engagement activities across the Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology.
The Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology is part of the Department of Medicine (DOM), within the UW SMPH. The division has a nationally ranked patient care program spanning the continuum of geriatric care, supports one of the oldest Geriatric Medicine Fellowship programs in the country, and is internationally recognized for its extensive research programs in aging and geriatrics, with current total research funding for the division exceeding $160 million.
Under the direction of the Division Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for professional level work impacting a variety of administrative service areas within the Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology, including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources. The position also serves as a liaison with DOM and SMPH staff in these areas to accomplish division objectives.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years experience in administrative support is required. A background in event planning and outreach activities with strong organizational and project management skills is highly desired. Strong attention to detail and ability to be a self-starter are important.
