The Nurse Manager holds accountability for the quality of patient care, efficiency of operations, and human resources management for the assigned ambulatory clinics. Patient care and services are carried out in collaboration with USC Care administration and the medical staff and in compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agency requirements.
Manages daily operations of assigned ambulatory clinics; promotes a positive and professional environment; supervises clinic support staff; maintains a stable and productive staff; makes data driven decisions.
The annual base salary range for this position is $133,120 – $233,910. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
*Master’s Degree in Nursing or in progress, strongly preferred* Master’s Degree in Nursing may be in lieu-of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
*Minimum of two years’ experience in a formal management position required with at least four years’ experience as an RN required.
Required License/Certification:
*Valid California Registered Nursing license required
*Current BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association required.
*Current ACLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association required.
*Specialty certification preferred
*Los Angeles City Fire and Safety Certification. If employee does not have Los Angeles City Fire and Safety card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
