Job Responsibilities

Responsible for computational analysis of clinical and genomic data using statistical and bioinformatics methods and applications. Will work with Dr. Anurag Verma and team members to support building bioinformatics pipelines and develop bioinformatics software. Serve as a support staff and work with investigators to provide an assistance on study designs, present results, and publish findings.

Qualifications

• Master of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience with biomedical research required
• Competent in Python/Perl and R programming language required
• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing data (genotyping, whole exome sequencing, whole genome sequencing) analysis required
• Experience with machine learning and data science a plus
• Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking and sound judgment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
