The University of New Mexico is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President for Human Resources. Reporting to the Vice President for Human Resources and CHRO, the AVP for HR will oversee the strategic direction of multiple core functions within the Division of Human Resources.
The AVP provides strategic and operational leadership in human resources planning, policy, and systems development of assigned organizational functions. Ensures that HR programs and initiatives are integrated and effective in supporting the overall mission, goals and objectives of the HR Division and the institution. Represents the HR Division to senior administration, external organizations, government agencies and other key internal and external constituents, as assigned. Represents and/or acts on behalf of the Vice President for Human Resources, as needed and when appropriate.

Bachelor’s degree; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
