Essential Functions
PROJECT COORDINATION:
Serve as subject matter expert creating, coordinating, and managing co-curricular/life skills programming to assist in the development,
implementation, and systematic evaluation of co-curricular programming for current BMS; Leverage market research and data analytics to
identify and propose new Areas of Concentration for the BMS program; Contribute to and provide project management of new innovative and
entrepreneurial initiatives for which DCS is known; Research and synthesize academic, best practice, and current research that contributes
to quality improvement of the BMS program and DCS services; Support new academic initiatives and partnerships through market research to
identify growth opportunities.
DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING: Take the lead in identifying, collecting and analyzing
meaningful metrics and benchmarks for the Division and BMS degree programs in collaboration with the Assistant Director; Leverage campus
reports and analytics to create and distribute reports utilizing software (e.g., Microsoft BI, Tableau, Excel, MaxQDA); Manage electronic
files and databases; Develop course evaluation, course utilization, and retention summaries for DCS-sponsored courses utilizing data; Create
documentation and presentations that support and communicate DCS course and program outcomes to relevant
stakeholders.
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS: Coordinate scheduling of DCS course offerings with academic departments; Manage course
enrollments for DCS-sponsored courses including issuing of permits; Create and distribute digital communication flows to promote DCS course
offerings; Utilize academic software to publish and edit DCS course schedules and academic catalogs; Assist in developing meaningful
assessment activities and tools to evaluate student learning and program outcomes; Assist with contracting process for adjunct faculty
teaching DCS-sponsored courses; Assist in planning and implementation of faculty onboarding and professional development activities; Develop
and administer student communication workflows to support online course persistence in DCS sponsored courses; Support new and existing
persistence and retention initiatives and partnerships.
DCS ENGAGMENT: Engage and advise DCS strategic planning and initiatives; Lead
and manage special and ongoing projects; Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation; Seek ongoing professional development;
maintain cohesive working relations, views conflict positively, and operates with honesty and respect in all
communications.
UNIVERSITY INVOLVEMENT: Participate in university committees, programs, and events.

Additional Duties
The
Project Specialist in the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) reports to the Assistant Director of DCS Academic Affairs. DCS Academic
Affairs is responsible for curricular activities related to the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies (BMS) program, ensuring the delivery
and assessment of quality educational programs designed specifically for adult and contemporary learners. Annually, the BMS program enrolls
more than 1,500 students in our online, on campus, and hybrid degree options. Our student population is comprised of 50% first generation
and 25% military-affiliated students. Working with cross campus partners across the university, as well as our team members located at
Offutt Air Force Base, this position is responsible for supporting the work we do through high quality, high touch services to students,
faculty, and staff, as well as expanding our program offerings through data-informed decision making.
The Project
Specialist is professional, self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to creatively solve problems with student-centered, solution-focused
thinking. The ideal candidate must possess strong data analysis, management, and manipulation skills. A passion for serving diverse,
multigenerational, adult learners is a must. Familiarity with best practice online and innovative teaching practices is a
plus.
Core responsibilities include:
The Project Specialist is capable of successfully managing multiple priorities, projects, processes,
timelines, and is comfortable making data-driven decisions to drive initiatives. Responds to student academic needs and serves as a liaison
between faculty and academic advisors in an intervention capacity. Additionally, the Project Specialist actively contributes to unit
initiatives and projects while fostering a supportive and collaborative work culture.

Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience: 2 or more years of full-time work history.
Data software utilization; Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
