About the Department
Located at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, the Sanger Leadership Center serves as an important bridge between student learners and experts in both research and practice. The Center runs 120+ leadership development sessions and has over 10,000 student interactions annually. Our mission is to accelerate leader development through bold ideas, transformative experiences, and inclusive communities.

Purpose:
The Sanger Leadership Center Program Specialist provides functional coordination over work assignments for a specific content area of expertise. Coordinate one or more programs within the unit’s scope of responsibility and coordinates all aspects of a program. These may include Sanger’s signature programs (Orientation programs, Crisis Challenge, Story Lab, Legacy Lab, Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement) and workshops and events associated with Sanger’s student communities: Ross Leaders Academy, and Leading Inclusive Teams.

Contribute to our positive and inclusive work community by building trusting partnerships across the school, learning, creating impactful experiences.. Approaches work with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind; treat others with respect, and in a manner where individuals feel they belong; listen, value feedback, and learning from the perspectives of others. The Program Specialist will work with the Sanger team, partners, and students to design and manage logistical arrangements for single- and multi-day, on- and off-campus events. These include programs such as Legacy Lab and Leading Inclusive Teams and workshops and events associated with Sanger’s curricular engagements, including orientations and student communities such as the Ross Leaders Academy. The Program Specialist reports to the Associate Director, Integrative Experiences, Sanger Leadership Center. Other responsibilities include:

Salary Information: The general salary range for this position is $59,000 – $65,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
