General Summary: The Senior System Encoder is responsible for the oversight of several software applications considered third-party to the Peoplesoft Student Information System. These will include the CollegeSource suite of products, (including: the uAchieve degree audit, the Planner, the Scheduler, and the Transfer Credit Articulation system), and the Modern Campus Acalog catalog.This person is responsible for the analysis of all of the above-named systems to ensure they meet the existing business needs of the University. This person will provide a leadership role to the System Encoder and will assign all duties regarding the maintenance of the CollegeSource suite of products for both graduate and undergraduate degree requirements.This person is also part of the team responsible for the maintenance of the university catalog software Acalog, licensed by Modern Campus. Course approvals and program changes approved and processed through the university curriculum management software will be configured into the Acalog catalog.Examples of Duties:
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least five (5) years of experience in a higher education setting required. Experience in university curriculum issues and business processes are required. Two (2) years of experience encoding in an automated degree audit system is required.Proficiency in writing Oracle SQL and understanding database table structure is preferred.The incumbent may be required to work evenings and/or weekends, as needed.
