The Opportunity:
This Budget Analyst II position is an opportunity to support the university’s Facilities and Business Operations (FBO) leadership team accomplish their construction goals, including new revenue generation opportunities and effective allocation of resources. The FBO Finance Center is a team of financial professionals who are motivated and strive for excellence. The incumbent will support decision-making and planning through the preparation or review of meaningful, accurate, and timely financial information. This position prepares financial reports, develops budgets, prepares analyses and forecasts, and records and reconciles financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing or reviewing and approving day-to-day construction financial transactions.
Prepare and assist with ad hoc management reports.
Perform monthly reconciliations, including Workday to eBuilder contract management system.
Prepare budget and general ledger reviews and routine account reconciliations.
Track and prepare report-outs on construction budget and expense.
Create and maintain business process documentation.
Provide support and a high-level of customer service to operational managers.
Prepare cost/benefit and other analyses to support the evaluation of alternative business courses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to
Preferred Qualifications:
Related Bachelor’s Degree, financial certifications such as Certified Budget Specialist (CBS) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and higher education experience.
Desire to be part of an intelligent, highly motivated, and results-driven team.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to keep confidentiality.
Possess natural curiosity and ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to work closely with leaders to support the resolution of financial issues.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
