Staff Human Resources (SHR) is dedicated to building a strong and healthy university by propelling the university mission, engaging and developing people, empowering our campus partners, building trust and teamwork and providing excellent Human Resource services. SHR is responsible for providing leadership to the campus and Staff Human resources (SHR), in the areas of Benefits, Business Administration, Compensation/Classification, HR Business systems, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition,Operations and Employee & Labor Relations. Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) serves as a professional resource to managers, supervisors and employees for work related issues, serves as a liaison to campus labor unions, and represents the campus in employment matters and system-wide contract negotiations.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the ELR Director or Desginee, the Labor Relations Supervisor serves as the campus expert for staff labor relations matters. The individual provides expert level professional analysis, consultation,coaching and training to campus clients on organizational development,strategic planning, policy and regulatory compliance, interpretation and application of labor contracts, and resolution of workplace problems. Works collaboratively and establishes highly effective working relationships with clients, campus constituents, and union representatives. Provides campus advocacy and representation on employee and/or labor relations matters. The position may lead fact finding investigations and represents the university at arbitration, mediation, and appeal hearings. This position supervises two Labor Relations Advocates.
APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
Salary Information: Salary Range: $130,000 – $147,000/annually. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.

JOB DUTIES
45% – Analysis and Consultation
40% – Bargaining and Advocacy
10% – Lead and Supervision
Functions as a lead on the Employee and Labor Relations team and supervises three labor
relations advocates.
5% – Projects and training
Plan and deliver customized presentations to build and develop skills of staff and management. Train on topics associated with campus programs, collective bargaining agreements, policies, procedures, and best practices.
