Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Research Monitoring Specialist will monitor and manage coordinating data collection under the DCOC grant studies; verify clinical research data for adherence to state, federal, and/or international regulations and institutional policies. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Works under limited supervision, reporting to Monitoring Manager or the Director of the Office of Research Regulatory Affairs.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years clinical research monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry required or RN plus 3 years clinical research monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry required.
Licenses, certificates, or registration
Special knowledge, abilities and skills:
Enrolled in the UAMS CRS Program or would be willing to enroll when hired. Certification through ACRP or SOCRA within 12 months of hire. Hands on experience with research protocols, Informed consents, and CRFs. Demonstrable knowledge of ICH Guidelines and pertinent FDA regulatory requirements, specifically 21 CFR 11, 50, 54, 56,312, and 812. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Proficient In the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Repetitive computer use. Travel within the United Stales (up to 50%) to manage and monitor up to 26 sites coordinating data collection will be required.
