Assists with undergraduate and graduate petition processes including appeals, transfer petitions, third attempt petitions and catalog selection petitions. Compile necessary information for all academic appeals. Review all academic petitions and make decisions, conferring with the academic departments when necessary. Serves as the area’s final reviewer of all undergraduate transfer petitions. Works with Administrative Assistant and Assistant Director to communicate with students regarding petition status.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Ability to analyze and review data from PeopleSoft to make decisions on academic standing, appeal requests, and extensions.Strong organizational and record keeping skills, as well as an eye for detail. Ability to work independently, as well as exceptional communication skills.
Preferred:
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
