Responsibilities
This position designs and produces print and digital materials for the Honors Program ensuring that all materials meet the University print and branding guidelines. It also provides support for the visual appearance of the Honor website and assists with planning and implementing recruitment, social media and communications initiatives.
Assists with the development and maintenance of the Honors Program website, social media and monthly digital newsletter. This includes contacting staff and faculty to obtain required information, art and photos as well as reaching out to students to feature on various digital platforms. Digital design to include but not limited to, web pages, web graphics, newsletter layout, event marketing and social media campaign graphics. Social media efforts may include Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Assists the Office of Admissions in the creation of recruitment items. Creates PowerPoint presentations for Honors information sessions and high school partner program sessions. Coordinates Honors staffing for and participates in information and high school recruitment sessions as well as campus presentations and tabling.
Designs for print to include but not limited to, Honors brochures, flyers, and event programs. This includes meetings with Honors staff and faculty to determine purpose and timeline; preparing and securing vendor quotes, obtaining the required information, art and photos from appropriate sources or creating required material.
Contributes to the planning, execution and evaluation of an annual marketing communications plan. Assists with creating a coordinated visual look for departmental materials in accordance with FSU branding. Participates in departmental or division committees as requested.
Assists with managing the Honors Program general e-mail account and Honors listserv. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
Knowledge of office practices, procedures and etiquette.
Experience prioritizing, organizing and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments.
Experience working with current media technology including issues, trends, web standards and best practices.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to travel to high schools for information sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a higher education office.

Anticipated Salary Range
$42,000; commensurate with education and experience.
