| Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit |
The mission of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is to educate and train undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. One of the integral parts of the program in CSD is the clinical training that students receive in the on-campus Speech & Hearing Center (SHC). The total number of clients/patients seen at the SHC in an average academic year is approximately 4000. The total number of funds managed by the department is 26. The total number of current grants/contracts is 8. The total number of undergraduate applications is approximately 100, and graduate applications are about 200 per academic year. The CSD department has 20 full-time faculty members, two part-time faculty members, 19 graduate assistants, 142 undergraduate students, and 88 graduate students. |

The position serves as the Patient Relations/Accounts and Insurance Administrator for the UNCG Speech and Hearing Center. This person acts as the liaison between patients, insurance companies, collection agencies, and health care professionals. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND ONE YEAR OF RELATED OFFICE EXPERIENCE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. |
