This is a highly skilled position requiring Documentum administration and good knowledge of Linux OS environment, Oracle application DBA skills for a Document Technology infrastructure environment. This is a very fast paced, ever changing, very challenging environment.

Job responsibilities:

• The Documentum System Administrator (DSA) is responsible for planning, setting up, and maintaining the infrastructure for the Documentum-based Enterprise Content Management System.
• Perform migration and upgrade of the Documentum platform and docbase/repositories.
• Perform setup and system administration of Document Transformation Services (DTS).
• Provide system administration support for Full text indexing software xPlore.
• Provide system administration support including server and client software installations, systems and database monitoring, migration, and associated documentation required to optimize the performance of this system.
• Monitor and provide performance tuning to system software components as required to ensure optimum system function
• Maintain system landscape environment by providing docbase creation, migration, copies, and refreshes
• Provide support and maintenance of Docbrokers and WDK applications like Webtop and Documentum Administrator.
• Perform Documentum software upgrades, patches, and migrations
• Provide Job setup, scheduling and log file cleanup
• Work with the functional/process Analyst and Programmers to plan and implement technical specifications for conversion, interfaces, enhancements, reports, & add-ons
• Provide user maintenance internal to DMS as well as at the UNIX level
• Comply with the security guidelines outlined by the security team.
• Code and support maintenance scripts in Unix, Linux, and Documentum
• Provide Oracle Application Database Administration as it applies to DMS
• Ensure adequate documentation of all strategies, processes, and procedures related to the implementation and support of the environment
• Plan and implement backup & recovery; disaster recovery, as well as archiving strategies as they relate to DMS
• Collaborate with hardware and OS technical teams to ensure proper integration of the environment
• Collaborate with database technical teams to ensure proper integration of the environment.
• Provide on-call coverage on rotation and support weekend infrastructure maintenances.
• Participate in infrastructure and business projects.
• Good knowledge on how to submit tickets, changes using Service Now.
• Setup the monitoring by using the tools like Helix, Splunk, Sumo Logic and Ansible.
• Manage Documentum Administrator instances hosting on JBoss in IaC (Infrastructure as a service) using the tools like Jenkins, Urabancode Deploy, Terraform and GitHub
• Setup DR (Disaster Recovery) environment for the current production and participate in DR/STM testing every quarter.

Requirements:

• Must be proficient with the Installations, upgrades, migrations, Administration and Troubleshooting of OpenText DOCUMENTUM 16.x and 21.x products like Content Server, Full Text Index Server xPlore, Document Transformation Services (DTS), Documentum Administrator (DA), Composer, dqMan, Documentum Foundation Class (DFC), WebTop, Jenkins, Urbancode Deploy and Terraform.
• Must have experience in supporting very large docbase/repositories.
• Good knowledge of creating and modifying shell scripts in UNIX and LINUX OS.
• Able to undertake end to end, cross platform, Middleware infrastructure problem identification and analysis
• Proficient in overall performance tuning & capacity planning
• Can provide solutions to complex issues /repetitive problems
• Proficient in planning complex/heterogeneous migration & integration
• Has proficient experience in Implementing Disaster Recovery, Failover, load balancing solution and testing integrity of solution
• Hands on experience on using the tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Urbancode Deploy, Terraform and GitHub

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors or master’s degree
• Ten or more years of work experience managing Document management Infrastructure services.
• Documentum product training or certification.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$117,360 – $176,040
