Description:

Disaster Recovery Coordinator is responsible to document and update IT DR plans for each department, test plans, create vendor risk assessments (3rd party), and initiate and implement 3rd party risk system. Remote but this person would need to be on site 2x a year for table top exercises, so they must be well-spoken to speak to managers and directors. Skills: SharePoint, ServiceNow, meeting/ presentation skills and organization. Team player, works with 2 risk and compliance people.

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the Information Technology (IT) Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning functions.
• Oversees the IT Disaster Recovery policy and procedures implementation.
• Ensures threats and risks to IT services’ availability are identified, assessed and remediation plans are developed as needed.
• Coordinates tabletop/walkthrough exercises and technology tests.
• Ensures that actionable technology recovery plans are written, integrated and tested across the organization.
• Serves as an expert resource and is responsible for disaster recovery technical and architecture planning, strategy, testing and the development and execution of exercises.

II. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Work schedule includes providing 24 hour/7 days a week support as required.

III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, healthcare or related field; or five (5) years work experience in comparable job may be substituted for educational requirement.
• Training or experience in disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Certification in business continuity preferred, i.e. Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), or Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI).

B.EXPERIENCE:

• In addition to the educational requirement, five (5) years related IT experience, preferably in healthcare or IT disaster recovery.
• Prior experience managing disaster recovery and business continuity functions.
• Knowledge of computer technology as related to telecommunications, networks and client operations.
