Description:
Provide in depth end user support for business applications found in a banking environment. The application analyst should be able to serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on product functionality. It is a technical position that is responsible for providing direct support to the banks business units. This is a hands-on role which provides technical support for banking applications, which involves evaluating business requirements and delivering new or enhanced software systems and integration solutions. The position requires an advanced level of analysis and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities and Duties: • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Business Applications. • Develop in-depth knowledge of supported applications (including JHA SilverLake, SL Teller, Synapsys, JHA EWF, ARGO, JHA Synergy,4sight and other applications as implemented by the organization). • Mentor application analysts to refine and improve their skillsets. • Identify, manage and implement process improvements through collaboration. • Clarify application objectives with Application Analysts to streamline and improve existing processes. • Develop and implement application administration policies & procedures including security guidelines. • Deliver analytical support to Business Intelligence teams. • Provide second and third level support for daily maintenance of applications including system administration and the resolution of application issues. Asks the user well thought out questions and carefully listens to comprehend the need, product issue, and best avenue for resolving the problem. • Research customer problems/issues to increase the personal knowledge and familiarity with the supported product to provide the highest level of support. Keeps current on most recent changes and upgrades. • Manage projects from original concept through final implementation and interface with all areas affected by the project including lines of business, Information Technology, operations units and vendors. • Assist in developing, maintaining and enforcing IT policies, procedures and system documentation. • Manage or participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation and support of business application initiatives. • Develop automation of processes where applicable. • Authoring documentation to describe installation and operating procedures • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application and database issues.

• Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal) • Must have good problem analysis and resolution skills • Must have strong organization and prioritization skills • Must be able to interface with users/customers • Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings. • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. • Minimum 4 years of operations experience at a financial institution, FinTech or related experience. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages. • Strong analytical skills and experience in banking software applications. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and documentation to configure and learn application functionality. • Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and Power Point. • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines. Some experience with regulatory compliance and reporting. • Documentation skills for processes and procedures.
