Director of Programs (Hybrid)
The School of Humanities and Sciences (H&S) is the foundation of a liberal arts education at Stanford. The school encompasses 23 departments and 25 interdisciplinary programs. Department/Program Description: The Clayman Institute for Gender Research
Founded in 1974, the Clayman Institute for Gender Research creates knowledge and seeks to implement change that promotes gender equality. Since its founding, the Institute has offered many programs to further gender equality. We set a broad research agenda, translate gender research, convene interdisciplinary networks of scholars, and educate students.

Position Summary: The Clayman Institute for Gender Research is seeking a Director of Programs, who will manage Institute operations and programs, and be a core member of the leadership team. This position includes managing development, events, finances and operations. The Director of Programs will work under general supervision of the Executive Director and must possess great attention to detail and superior project management skills. The Director of Programs must demonstrate a positive outlook on continuous process improvement efforts, while maintaining a team-based mindset. It is critical that this position exhibit the abilities to practice sound judgment and decision-making, effective written & oral communication, and respectful relationship management. This position must also exhibit a strong desire to continuously learn new and unfamiliar topics, policies and procedures as they relate to program management – the ability to translate this information into operational successes will be critical. The Director of Programs is the manager of the Event Coordinator and Finance and Operations Administrator.
This is a 100% FTE continuing position. This position will be based on the Stanford campus and will be considered for an option of telecommuting (hybrid of working on-site and off-site), subject to operational need.

Education & Experience
·Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
In addition, preferred requirements include:
·Knowledge of and experience with project management techniques and tools
·Experience in community outreach and/or engagement
·Experience with fundraising and funder relationship management preferred
·Experience working with executive-level stakeholders or donors
·Event management experience
·Interest in the Clayman Institute’s mission of advancing intersectional gender research and creating a more just world
The expected pay range for this position is $66,100 to $107,000 per annum.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
