Managing, planning, and the administration of a designated program and is responsible for carrying out the goals and objectives of the Student Technology Services (STS) Program.
Essential Functions
Responsible for the strategic planning and operational management of the District’s STS Program. Oversee processes that support planning, evaluation, budgeting, policy formulation, and similar functions involved in the effective management of the STS Program. Coach and mentor, the STS Supervisors and Peer Leaders on student involvement to ensure the development and maintenance of a positive working environment that fosters respect for all students.Establish and maintain partnerships with community businesses and organizations, educational institutions, and other entities to support and market the STS program and acquire funding. Coordinate recruitment events and technical staff development workshops to promote the program and provide services to students and prospective students.Develop and facilitate training for the STS students that fosters and demonstrates leadership in the workplace and serve as a mentor for the STS students.Develop strategies to identify program barriers and propose effective resolutions on an ongoing basis.Provide personnel management direction and guidance to staff, including orientation, performance evaluation, professional development, coaching, and counseling. Participate in setting performance goals and priorities that contribute to the departmental mission.Develop budget recommendations and monitor program expenditures. Ensure equipment and software is available for student use as needed by the program.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application.
2. Ability to effectively formulate STS program goals and objectives and to effectively market the program to select target audiences.
3. Effective interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and teambuilding skills, and ability to work collaboratively in developing partnerships.
4. Ability to recruit, screen, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and establish developmental plans.
5. Ability to interact with students and act in an advisory capacity.
6. Effective analytical, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective mentoring skills and working as a liaison.
8. Experience managing and supervising personnel. 9. Experience developing, executing, reviewing, recommending, and managing budgets. 10. Experience developing and conducting presentations.
11. Effective oral and written communication skills.
