Stanford Universityâs Office of Development (OOD) is seeking an Assistant Director for the IDEAL Initiatives and Programs team.
OOD advances Stanfordâs mission by raising philanthropic support from alumni, parents, families, friends, and institutional funders. Working in concert with volunteers and academic leaders, OOD staff members strive to accelerate Stanfordâs purposeful impact in the world. The IDEAL Initiatives and Programs (IIP) team provides leadership and support focused on strengthening philanthropic relationships within Stanford’s emerging philanthropic communities, including those historically underrepresented. The team employs targeted engagement and giving strategies aligned with the interests, values, and priorities of these communities, and collaborates with development teams, the Stanford Alumni Association, and other campus stakeholders, to cultivate alumni donors and volunteers who share a commitment to Stanford’s mission.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for IDEAL Initiatives and Programs, the Assistant Director, IDEAL Initiatives and Programs is responsible for project management, volunteer coordination, and portfolio support to advance this work and deepen relationships within Stanford’s next generation of philanthropists.
Job Purpose:
The Assistant Director, IDEAL Initiatives and Programs will provide collaborative, strategic, and tactical support to fundraising programs and activities for the IDEAL Initiatives and Programs (IIP) team. Collaborating across the Office of Development (OOD) and with colleagues in school and units, and class giving, this person will assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with all university constituencies. Under supervision by the Assistant Vice President for IDEAL Initiatives and Programs, this person will work to assist efforts to cultivate relationships and giving within emerging philanthropic constituencies.

The main work location for this position is Stanford University historical campus. Open to hybrid work schedule (minimum two days per week onsite).
The expected pay range for this position is $64,480 to $120,000 per annum.
