Responsibilities:
Applications for Part-Time, Adjunct Instructor pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District and will be added to the application pool for review by hiring authorities on an as-needed basis. Southwestern College is looking for Part-Time Optical Technician Instructor with optical industry experience. Classes may be held during weekdays, weekends and/or evenings. The anticipated start date is Spring, 2024 (end of February).

Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only)
For a short-term noncredit vocational course, any one of the following:
(1) A bachelor’s degree; and two years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught.
OR
(2) An associate degree; and six years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught.
OR
(3) Possession of a full-time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in the subject matter.
Desirable Qualifications:
Salary
$68.76 to $75.42 per hour. Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree conferred.

As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the subsequent governing board approval.
