Human Resource Generalist
GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs a variety of Human Resources related duties which are highly confidential in nature and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruitment, facilitate new hire orientation, employee relations, labor relations, and benefit administration. Assists in providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assists Human Resources Manager with recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.
· Conduct New Hire Orientation. Discuss all employee benefits and LOA procedures in new class orientation and discuss online enrollment with new hire employees in health and life insurance in Paycom. Assist employees with online open enrollment in Paycom and submit to the insurance carrier via internet one month before effective date.
· Upon effective date supply employees with an employee badge, benefit book, employee manual, and a copy of BFF privacy statement.
· Administer benefit programs such as, open enrollments for Health, Dental, and Disability Insurance, 401(k) plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance for all eligible employees on Paycom.
· Administer and track Leave of Absence and FMLA guidelines according to the federal and state laws and on Paycom.
· Set-up open enrollment in December & June for all employees that are newly eligible for the 401(k). Change employee’s contributions as needed quarterly.
· At the end of each plan year provide census to 401(k) Administrator and answering all questions pertaining to new employees and re-hires.
· Notify 401(k) Plan Administrator of changes in employee status. Such as name changes, address changes, beneficiary changes, etc.
· Electronically submit loan applications for employees requesting 401(k) loans using a secured password.
· HIPPA Privacy Officer responsible for ensuring the foundation is HIPPA complaint.
· Assist and examine monthly health insurance claims reports for any discrepancy and report to the claims department. Check all monthly electronic reports from insurance carriers and print for the attention of the Human Resources Director, Controller, and Chief Executive Officer.
· Review quarterly reports from pharmaceutical company and discuss with Human Resources Director, Controller, and Chief Executive Director.
· Maintain Human Resources Information system records and complies reports from date base
such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations and termination date and reason.
· Assists in the evaluation of reports, decision, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
· Become a certified IDEMIA Identity and Security fingerprint technician for Beverly Farm. Foundation and assist with fingerprinting for outside companies.
· Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
· Travel may be required.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited four-year college or university or at least five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as benefit plan documents, and policy and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to understand and effectively present information and respond to questions from administrative staff, employees, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or report form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in non-standardized situations. Able to use tangible and intangible information to come to a result.
Technology Skills:
Utilizes computer to accomplish job tasks. Computer literacy essential in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and databases. Knowledge of Outlook or similar program.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and stand. Employee will occasionally climb stairs and ramps. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. From time to time, employee may be required to work long hours. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers and talk. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. On occasion, noise level may be very loud. On occasion the work environment may be cold and hot.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear when communicating with employees and using a phone line.
