The Assistant Site Controller is responsible for supporting and implementing all day-to-day financial activities with respect to the coordination of budgets and forecast development. This role is also responsible for directing and controlling all accounting functions at the site level including, financial reporting, analysis and establishing internal controls.
This individual will do reporting that oversees cost accounting and production operation responsibility using QAD as the primary tool. The number one responsibility of this position is to be a business partner to the plant’s management team, actively taking part in the continuous improvement process and providing timely financial metrics.
They will provide financial analyses and recommendations to ensure the sites are aligned to strategic objectives set by the ENC Ops US; moreover, “proactive” as a business partner aiding the decision-making process of management on corrective actions/countermeasures and enforcing ownership & accountability.
The position will be responsible for the adherence to financial policies and ICRF controls, improving internal business processes to support the business growth/profitability model.
This includes such things as engaging in the annual forecast, budget, plan process at the site and providing accurate explanations of significant variances, including analysis of actual vs. budget and/or forecast.
Focus on timely month-end results/reporting but importantly strategic planning to ensure the business is growing profitability.
The Assistant Controller position will lead and be and be an active participant for the month-end close to ensure alignment of the business deadlines, prepare, approve general entries/reconciliations (as needed/required), and ensure accuracy/integrity of the balance sheet (quality of working capital, changes in fixed assets, etc.).
Lead the annual standard cost development process for the site(s) to ensure transparency of product cost. Held responsible to ensure all plant accounting activities comply with the processes outlined in the IFRS, PPL, ENC policies, and sound business practices. Assistance with ICRF compliance will be required as well.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university (Required)
* Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
* Minimum 4+ years of Cost Accounting, Controller experience (Required) in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
* Minimum 4+ years of financial/Operational Analyst experience (Preferred)
* Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
* Minimum 4+ years of Cost Accounting, Controller experience (Required) in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $77,400 to $120,100 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and target annual bonus) for this position, is $85,100 to $132,100. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
