This Cost Accountant role is to provide accurate and timely cost, financial, and statistical data to Managers and other employees to aid in making operational decisions that align with the financial goals of the organization.
Salary: $42,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift (8am – 4pm)

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing operational cost data. Assist in developing and analyzing cost standards resulting in setting of standard costs for manufactured goods.
Perform closing procedures and complete account reconciliations both monthly and annually as required in preparation for the annual financial audit. Respond to audit inquiries and provide requested information in a timely manner.
Monitor customer specific invoicing and AR balances to ensure timely collections and limit past due balances. Assist with quotes and pricing models as needed. Prepare periodic production reporting as requested.
Responsible for various inventory duties as assigned which may include daily PIT balancing, rolling standards as needed, monitor, and perform periodic audits of cycle counts; participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation, and assist operations with labeling and disposition of products.
Assist Engineering and Quality with maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM) as needed to ensure operations has accurate information to complete scheduled work and to ensure customers are billed correctly.
Maintains knowledge of current accounting concepts.
Performs all work in a safe manner following all safety standards and use required safety equipment.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
A minimum of 3 years financial work experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
In-depth technical knowledge of cost accounting concepts and GAAP standards
Extensive knowledge of financial reporting software tools including EXCEL (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros) as well as ERP software notably IQMS
Ability to problem solve and think critically.
Ability to stay organized and give full attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills to facilitate productive working relationships and simplify communication of complex accounting concepts.
