eCommerce Merchandising & Fulfillment Specialist
Overview
Join a dynamic, locally-owned-and-operated Retail + eCommerce brand as an eCommerce Specialist. The Merchandising & Fulfillment Specialist is a critical member of the Russell’s eCommerce team. Reporting to the Director of Ecommerce, this role is responsible for executing operational activities related to the russells.com website.
This position works closely with internal marketing and store team members, in addition to 3rd party vendors to ensure smooth execution of website merchandising (navigation flow, product collections, content uploads, tag management, etc.) and web order fulfillment (order processing, customer support, returns & exchanges, etc.)
Ownership of both the merchandising and order fulfillment process is a core function of this role and key to providing our customers with an exceptional online shopping experience.
REQUIRED: Minimum of 1 year eCommerce/Order Management platform experience (preferably in Shopify)
Responsibilities:
· Review customer orders daily and ensure timely fulfillment by our Russell’s staff.
· Review all orders with our drop-shipping manufacturers, relay tracking information, and ensure timely delivery to customers.
· Provide support to customers shopping online via instant chat, email, and phone support.
· Provide excellent customer service to customers with inquiries about their orders.
· Suggest opportunities to solicit product reviews from customers
· Assist in merchandising the site through the use of Shopify’s theme editor, product collections optimization, and brand guidelines.
· Manage site catalog to ensure a strong user experience for the customer. This includes creating and organizing collections, thorough tag management, and regular analysis of inventory quantities.
· Create and maintain product listings including product and image uploads, product descriptions, tags, and meta data.
· Build and maintain product upload calendar to coincide with Russell’s inventory ordering of seasonal styles
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Highly motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
· Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks
· Minimum of 1 year eCommerce/Order Management platform experience (preferably in Shopify)
· Web merchandising experience within apparel or other CPG brand
· Experience managing large product catalogs
· Excellent customer service, comfortable in communicating via email and instant-chat messaging platform
· Strong written and oral communication
· Great collaboration skills. Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships internally and externally
· Drive for continuous improvement with strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree – specialization in fashion merchandising, marketing, or eCommerce a plus
· Ability to work independently and multi-task
· Comfortable with Excel and CSV files
· Technically savvy
