Position Summary::
This position performs professional librarian functions within a higher education setting. Responsibilities may include providing research and reference services for patrons; information literacy instruction; overseeing various library operations including circulation, material inventory, cataloging, and acquisition; and recommending and implementing policies and procedures. This position reports to the Coordinator of Library Services at South Campus.
Required Education/Experience::
Master’s degree accredited by the American Library Association. Will consider an applicant near completion of Master’s Degree program.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities::
Knowledge of library organization, materials, services, and policies and procedures; knowledge of the principles and methods of evaluating library materials and equipment; effective written and oral communication skills; ability to organize and supervise the work of assigned staff; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, staff of other libraries, and the public; and ability to conduct oneself with tact and courtesy.

This position is assigned to the South Campus; however flexibility to work at multiple locations is required. Hours will be Monday – Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This is a PART-TIME position.

Performs a wide range of library circulation activities which includes: processing incoming and outgoing library materials, obtaining payments for fine, creating and updating patron records; placing materials on hold; communicating library policies and procedures; and/or performing other related activities.
