Pinewoods Montessori School is a small, independent school in Hillsborough, NC. We are professional, rewarding, collaborative and growing. We provide an enriching, authentic Montessori Education for children. Our extended day program compliments our school day by offering extended opportunities for play and learning for children age 3-12. Our goal is to provide safe, supportive, child-centered imaginative and active play, art explorrations, and learning environments for a multi-aged group of children.
Extended Day/After School Coordinator/Teacher
Our Extended Day/ After School program provides care and supervision for students aged 3 to 12, after the school day ends. The hours for this position are 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
Candidates for Extended Day Coordinator will plan activities and coordinate communications with families and Pinewoods staff. This position includes pay for planning and is scheduled for 2-6, each day the school is in session. Opportunities for full-time summer employment are also open to the person who fills this position.
Extended Day/After School Teachers may choose to work 3 or 5 days per week. The hours for this position are 2:30pm – 5:30pm.
The strongest candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, skilled emotion regulation, experience with relational behavioral management or restorative justice practices, experience working with children in a child- centered, play-based or classroom environment, the ability to design and implement engaging programming that supports the social, emotional, academic, artistic, and physical development of young children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $21.00 per hour
