Job Overview:
Seeking a passionate, responsible, high-caliber, patient, and motivated teacher administrator to join our growing team in helping at-risk kids. Our nonprofit agency provides a reading product and a Master Teacher administrator at “no cost” in partnership with elementary school sites interested in providing reading practice tools to their students. Our program is life-changing for the students who are struggling readers. Our Master Teachers are essential to carrying out our mission, which is to assist underperforming second and third grade students with fundamental literacy development to inspire life-long readers. We use The Literacy Project’s curriculum and reading product with selected students in a small group. Each session is held on-site at an elementary school in a private setting on campus. Our participants are children who are performing below their expected academic grade level and enjoy the benefits of working to improve their overall reading skills and proficiency.

Part Time – Monday through Thursday / 8:30 – 11:30

Pay: $20.00 per hour
The goal of the product is to:
Qualifications: Prefer a college degree and teaching credential, but not required. Must be interested in working with small groups of children and teaching a phonetic-based reading game. Bilingual a plus. Access and ability to log into an internet-based website portal for grading, tracking and statistics. Some computer-generated documents required in management. Must get fingerprinted.
Training:
One three-hour training session is required (compensation included).
