Job Summary:
This position is a part-time bookkeeping assistant position, working with our head bookkeeper and administrative office staff to perform all aspects of bookkeeping and financial management for Pine Valley Services.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Accounting Certification Preferred
• Experience working as a bookkeeper or assistant bookkeeper in an accounting department in lieu of certification or degree.
• Quickbooks Pro Certification a plus or 3+ years of working experience in lieu of certification.
• Must have a minimum of (3) years of comparable experience in bookkeeping.
• Must have excellent mathematics skills for accurate record-keeping.
• Must have excellent administrative skills for managing financial records.
• Computer literacy and computer skills; spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software such as Quickbooks Pro, MSWord, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and Windows operating systems.
• Inter-personal and customer service skills for dealing with suppliers, customers, vendors, and working as part of a team.
• Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms.
• Must be dependable, highly organized, self-directed, and motivated. Must be able to manage time effectively. Must be able to work within a dynamic office environment.
• Must pass all employment background checks, credit checks, health screens, and testing.

Bookkeeping Department Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable
• Expense reporting, data collection and organization of business files.
• Accounts receivable
• Payroll
• Monitor facility budgets and expenses. Report on expenses; Monitor for fraud, waste or inaccuracies in use or documentation.
• Maintain Quick Books file and Chart of Accounts. Coordination with CPA to ensure accuracy of accounts. Audit compliance and preparation.
• Reporting as required.
• Reconcile bank accounts and account statements, general journal, charge accounts, receipts, invoices, payments and financial records monthly.
• Maintain an orderly accounting and filing system which meets Pine Valley standards and practices as well as best accounting and bookkeeping practices.
• Manage facility cash accounts and client accounts. Monitor for fraud, waste or inaccuracies in use or reporting by staff. Balance and audit all cash accounts monthly and annually. Dispense funds as directed.

All Other Duties as Assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.50 per hour
