ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the Monthly Production schedule of the various Production cells, making adjustments as required due to material and worker availability to achieve higher output.
Establish daily objectives and communicate them to employees by postings in each cell.
Evaluating the various Cells/Workstations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineer to ensure proper production flow and line balance.
Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals. Guide and coach employees equipping them to meet the Quality and Production goals.
Provide training and education for the purpose of developing the Cell Leads.
Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires, performance reviews and discipline.
Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within the production environment. Oversee safe use of equipment and the scheduling of regular maintenance.
Provide leadership in maintaining a visual factory by supporting 65 practices and initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Prepare Monthly Productivity Metrics. Identify areas for improvement for next 30 days.
Prepare Monthly Failure Analysis Reports and Issue Tracking and CAs.
Assist Production Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and performance management.
Coordinate and capture on-the-job training and coordinate with internal and external training resources to maximize staff strengths.
Manage and approve Time Cards – work schedules and PTO.
Ability to work overtime as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
2* plus years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity in a manufacturing environment.
Associates degree in a manufacturing or mechanical discipline or equivalent experience.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of PCs and applications software. Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and 55 preferred.
Experience in an ISO environment.
Pay: $65,000 – $75,000
