GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:This position processes reimbursements and ensures timely payments of vendor invoices.
Responsible for maintaining and completing unclaimed property reporting and remittances as they are due. Process, maintain and reconcile AP
advances. Monthly auditing of corporate Travel credit cards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:•
Responsible for processing a variety of transactions including: weekly voucher input, voucher and check voids, vendor statement
reconciliation’s, verifies receipts, and reviews and processes expense and reimbursement reports and check requests.• Maintain,
review, audit and process monthly corporate credit cards.• Process and reconcile Accounts Payable advance requests• Responsible
for maintaining W-8 and 8233 information and responsible for completing 1042 and 1042-S reporting requirements for non-resident alien
compensation.• Serves as a resource for departments regarding non-resident alien forms and policies.• Must keep current with
ever-changing IRS tax reporting requirements and procedures to insure compliance with IRS Policy for 1042 reporting.• Maintains and
sets up vendor files, receives calls from vendors and schedules payments.• Responsible for maintaining and processing local and
statement vendors.• Assist in training department admins and student club officers on AP processes and procedures.• Responsible
for maintaining and completing unclaimed property reporting and remittances as they are due.• Follows university policy and
procedure.• Responsible for reconciliation of various accounts.• Other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:• Maintain and report Gift Card Certificate and Research Participant cash payments list.•
Perform other related duties as assigned.• Operates within University Policy’s & Procedures, IRS and Federal Guidelines•
Operates under the direction of Accounts Payable Manager
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:• High school education or
equivalent and 2 – 4 years experience in accounts payable.• Business/Accounting courses at the college level or will consider a
combination of education and experience.• Good oral and written communication skills.• Excellent computer skills; experience
working with Excel and Word.• Ability to use 10-key adding machine• Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with customers
in a positive manner.• Ability to multitask, detail oriented, accurate and thorough in preparation of work. Able to meet
deadlines.• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.

environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:The functions are usually performed sitting, working at a computer keyboard
involving extensive wrist and hand movements. Some amount of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying, and other
movements may be required on an infrequent basis. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without a significant
risk of injury to themselves or others, or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions listed
above.
