We’re actively seeking a talented modeler to lead our RILA model development and join our Enterprise Modeling Team. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote.
As the RILA model development lead, you’ll play a key role within the Model Development team focused on the Implementation of RILA for Valuation, Hedging, and forecasting models in Prophet. This new role will collaborate with Pricing, Valuation, ALM, Hedging, Projections, and IT infrastructure teams to develop cutting edge RILA models for multi-use. This role will transition to support model development and maintenance of annuity and life models post RILA model implementation.
How you will make an impact:
Develop and oversee the model development and implementation of RILA models using Prophet modeling software
Ensure that models are accurate, reliable, meet business requirements and utilize modeling best practice approaches
Perform model development and testing/debugging of Prophet models, peer review changes made by other team members and act as an internal Prophet expert for your colleagues
Collaborate with cross-functional project team of developers, data/IT, and business stakeholders
Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders regarding actuarial modeling results and insights
Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in actuarial modeling and incorporate them into the implementation process
Support and comply with all Model Risk Management initiatives, documentation and standards.
The experience you will bring:
6+ years of experience in actuarial modeling, with a focus on Prophet software implementation for the Annuity product line (RILA, VA, FIA, FA, IA)
Bachelor’s in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics or related field
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong modeling / actuarial platform skills, including FIS knowledge
Familiarity with all components within FIS Insurance Risk Suite (i.e., PRD, DCS, PE, PP, PMCS)
Advanced knowledge of Prophet libraries (e.g., US 360, ALS, Life and Health libraries)
Ideally existing working relationships with FIS Insurance Risk teams and individuals
Self-starter with ability to develop solutions by collaborating with multiple business partners
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and to manage long-term projects
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
What will make you stand out:
Excellent communication skills
Experience with RILA, VA, and FIA annuity products
Experience coding in Python, Visual Basic, and SQL
Experience working with Azure DevOps, pipelines and AWS
Advanced knowledge and experience in Prophet, especially experience with asset and ALM modeling in Prophet
Experience with ALM/Hedging
ASA/FSA/CFA designation

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$141,570.00 – $173,030.00
