Hello! We are Oak & Rose School for Early Childhood:
Oak & Rose has two in home locations serving NE Portland families. We offer curriculum based care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. We envision a learning community that supports experiential learning, creative expression, outdoor adventure, PLAY, and a garden and food program that children can participate in. Above all, we aim to co-create a space based on community and respect.
We have all teachers wear masks indoors and highly encourage all children over the age of 2 to also wear masks, parents do not enter the building, and teachers work with small groups of children at each facility. ~10 children at younger children’s Rose House, and ~13 children at the older children’s Oak House). Teachers will be working alongside another teacher throughout the day with an additional support staff for breaks and help during nap/lunch time.
We are currently seeking to hire a teacher for our toddler/wobbler aged children (1-3) as well as for our preschool aged children (3-5). Teachers form strong bonds with children, and create projects that encourage curiosity, social & emotional well-being, and that build skills to establish confidence at an early age.
Please see our website for more information: www.oakandroseschool.com
