Job Description

Natural Gas Compression Systems, Inc. has openings for Natural Gas Compressor Field Mechanics in the Carlsbad, New Mexico field area. No rotational schedules available- must be near Carlsbad, NM area.

Responsible for:

• Daily repair, maintenance, trouble-shooting, preventive maintenance, emmissions testing and start-up of natural gas compressors at customer locations on scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Engine, mechanical and technical experience with natural gas compressors and familiar with Caterpillar/Ariel/Gardner Denver packages and Arrow engines and compressors.
• Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

Special Job Requirements:

• Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heavy lifting and cramped conditions.
• Subject to applicable US Department of Transportation regulations and ability to meet state and federal regulations governing vehicle operations.
• Required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location. No rotation options available.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card, pass drug test and back x-ray.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
